Benefits Plan!

As a new employee, it is important you have access to the information needed to make an informed and confident decision about the benefits package you select. We have created a variety of tools and resources that we encourage you to use as you make this decision.

New Employee Enrollment Period

Your New Employee enrollment period is the first 45 days of hire. Benefits will be effective the 1st or 16th day of the month on or following enrollment. If you do not enroll within 45 days of hire, you will automatically be enrolled in the employer-provided benefits (Basic Employee Term Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment, Business Travel Accident, Long-Term Disability Insurance and the 401(k) program). Once enrolled, your election is irrevocable unless a qualifying change of status occurs or you must wait until the next annual enrollment period to make changes.

Step 1 - Review Your Benefit Materials

Step 2 - Make Your Benefit Elections Online   

  • As a new employee, you have 45 days from your date of hire to enroll in your benefits.

  • Benefits will be effective the 1st or 16th day of the month on or following enrollment.

  • Make your benefit elections in Dayforce. After you login to Dayforce, look for the new hire enrollment option under Benefits > Overview.

Step 3 - Confirm Your Elections   

  • If you make your elections in Dayforce, you can view and print your confirmation statement.

  • Review your elections and report any discrepancies to your Benefits Administrator.

After You Receive Your First System-Generated Paycheck, Continue to Steps 4 and 5.


Step 4 - Enroll in the Defined Contribution/401(k) Plan

  • John Hancock will send a personalized enrollment kit to your work email that includes instructions for enrollment and for using

  • After you receive your personalized enrollment kit, you can go to to register and enroll. You will find a number of tools and resources available to assist you in choosing the right contribution level, the right contribution type and investment selections to help you reach your retirement goals.

  • We offer you a dollar-for-dollar match of up to 6 percent of your total compensation with our 401(k) plan, which is administered by John Hancock. Learn more about the plan and how to enroll.

Step 5 - Enroll in Life Insurance for You and Your Family

  • After you have received your first system generated paycheck, you have access Life Insurance coverage options through Securian Financial. Learn more about the coverage and how to enroll by viewing the Group Life Insurance Plan Document.

  • Visit and make your elections, review, make changes or update beneficiaries.
