Your Steps to Retirement

 

1. Contact Your Supervisor and Notify Human Resources

This will start the process.

 

2. Request a Retirement Application

If you are eligible to receive a pension, log into mylife.newyorklife.com up to 90 days before you retire to request your Retirement Application. Complete and return the forms to New York Life.

 

3. Make Your Pension Election

New York Life will mail a Pension Election packet to your home. Complete and return your forms to New York Life.

 

4. Complete Your Benefits Paperwork

Farm Credit Foundations will mail a benefit information packet to your home about 30 days before your retirement date. This packet will contain the information about continuing benefits and the forms you will need to continue medical, dental and/or vision coverage.

 

5. Consider Your 401(k) Account Options

These options include:

1. Withdrawals
2. Payment distribution set-up
3. Rollover
4. Leaving money at New York Life
