Check History Archiving to Take Place on May 27

On May 27, Farm Credit Foundations will be archiving historical check detail (earnings statements). You will continue to have access to two full years plus the current year of earnings statements.
Example: For the year 2011, you will have access to 2009, 2010 and 2011 earnings statements. If you need a copy of an earnings statement which is no longer accessible in Self-Service, please contact HRIS@FarmCreditFoundations.com.
PayFlex to Reimburse Employees for $25 HSA transfer fee

The $25 fee that Bank of America is charging you to transfer your HSA funds to PayFlex will be reimbursed by PayFlex. This reimbursement is in effect for HSA transfers completed through June 2011. You will receive a letter and check for $25 in the mail. This process will begin later this month.

Congress Recently Passes Tax Relief, Job Creation Act

Congress recently passed the Tax Relief, Unemployment Insurance Reauthorization, and Job Creation Act of 2010. You will notice a change related to your contribution to Social Security (FICA). The bill reduced the employee contribution from 6.2% to 4.2% on the first $106,800 of 2011 earnings. At the same time, the “Making Work Pay” Federal tax reduction expired. The amount was $400 for employees who file single and $800 for those who file married. Ceridian was able to make these changes for the first pay check of the year. Most employees will see a reduction in Social Security and increase in federal taxes.

Incorrect FSA Confirmation Email

Some employees may have received an incorrect email confirmation from PayFlex. These confirmations were generated in error based on 2010 elections. This is a posting issue only and does not affect your 2011 FSA annual election or your payroll deduction. Foundations is working with PayFlex to correct this issue. The correct FSA election amounts will be posted by Friday. Since this information may not be corrected until Friday, rather than call PayFlex, please review your 2011 confirmation statement or your Jan. 14, 2011, paycheck for your actual election and payroll contributions.
Customer Identification Programs Now Required by Federal Law

You have been asked to provide additional proof of your identity to PayFlex. Do you have to give them the identification requested? Customer Identification Programs (CIPs) are now required by federal law through the USA Patriot Act of 2001 as a means to prevent financing of terrorist operations and money laundering. The requirements go beyond just verifying your identity.
