Update on Transition of Bank From America to PayFlex
Additional information about the transition from Bank of America to PayFlex is now available, including access to your Bank of America Account, debit cards, trustee-to-trustee transfer forms and additional proof of identity requests.
Access to Your Bank of America Account Online
Some of you have been unable to view your account statement online. Bank of America is working on this and hopes to have this resolved by the end of next week. Once resolved, you will receive your account statement in the method you signed up for – paper copy mailed to your home or electronic on your personal account site.
Bank of America Debit Cards
Debit cards for your individual account at Bank of America have been mailed. The cards are delivered in a window envelope with a Bank of America return address. Cards must be activated before using. Instructions for card activation are included with the mailing.
Trustee-to-Trustee Transfer Forms
Bank of America will not process incomplete transfer forms. Instead they will hold the transfer request as pending.
- To be complete, forms must include:
- Full Social Security number
- Individual bank account number (This is not the FCXXX group number - this number is available on individual’s paper statement or in their Bank of America welcome packet. Otherwise, employees must call Bank of America) Our account rep is working with B of A customer service to educate about account numbers.
- If the transfer request is pended, Bank of America will post a note on the individual’s online account. Employees can also call B of A customer service but in either case, they need to allow enough time for their form to arrive at Bank of America and be processed.
- If employees know they did not include all of the necessary information, they can send in a new completed form without waiting for their original request to be pended.
- If employees don’t know why the form was pended, they should call B of A customer service.
You’ve Received a Request From PayFlex for Additional Proof of Identity
To open your account, you must provide the information requested. The USA Patriot Act requires PayFlex to obtain, verify and record information to confirm the identity of certain individuals – for instance, if you have changed your name, moved or receive your mail at a P.O. box, you will be asked to provide additional information.
